activities

The Greek Relief Committee worked with a network of foreign consuls, unskilled workers, humanitarian agencies and missionaries who worked in various locations in the Ottoman Empire. Their working methods were thus similar to those of the Committee for Armenian and Syrian Aid (ACASR), which was also active in the First World War. It also cooperated with American diplomatic institutions in Athens and Thessaloniki to help refugees coming from Turkey .
