Hillary Monahan

Hillary Monahan is an American author . Her work includes youth books , horror , urban fantasy and romance novels . She also publishes her novels under the pseudonyms Eva Darrows and Thea de Salle.

Live and act

Monahan referred to herself primarily as a horror novelist. Her fifth youth novel, The Hollow Girl , was inspired by her Welsh Romani roots.

Her first youth novel Mary appeared under her name : The Summoning, the first in a series. It was published by Disney-Hyperion in 2014 and reached number 2 on the New York Times bestseller list . A sequel, MARY: Unleashed , was released in 2015. Monahan's adult fantasy debut, Snake Eyes, is the third novel in the Gods & Monsters series and was published in 2016. Her fifth youth novel, The Hollow Girl , was published in 2017.

Monahan will also contribute a short story to His Hideous Heart - a 2019 anthology of retelling Edgar Allan Poe stories at Flatiron Books.

Publications under a pseudonym

The youth novel The Awesome was published in 2015 under the pseudonym Eva Darrows . The novel received a star rating from Publishers Weekly .

Monahan's first adult romance novel is part of a trilogy , NOLA Nights, that begins with The King of Bourbon Street . The book was published by Pocket Star in 2017 under the pseudonym Thea de Salle.
