Him is a 1980 song by Rupert Holmes , written and produced by him and Jim Boyer. It appeared on the album Partners in Crime .
history
Him tells from the perspective of a man who discovers a pack of cigarettes in the bedroom even though he does not smoke. He then suspects that his wife is cheating on him. He doesn't know who she's cheating with and decides to confront her. He asks her to choose between him or the other.
The release of the pop rock and soft rock number was on January 7, 1980. In the same year Holmes recorded a French version under the title Lui , which was released as a single only in Canada and was never released on an album.
