him , later called him applaus , was a gay magazine that appeared bimonthly from 1970 to 1981.

First published in April 1970 had him by You & Me , the second gay magazine that after the reform of § 175 in the Federal Republic of Germany appeared. The first publisher was St. Pauli Verlag Helmut Rosenberg . Editor-in-chief was Dieter Michael Specht , from 1976 Hans Eppendorfer .

From 1980, Lambda Zeitschriften GmbH took over the magazine and changed the title to him applaus . During the 1980 federal election campaign, he applaus founded the initiative “ Pink Front against Strauss ” with the HAH ( Homosexual Action Hamburg ) and the UHA ( Independent Homosexual Action ) to prevent Franz Josef Strauss from becoming Federal Chancellor. In April 1981 the newspaper had to be discontinued.
