The Hindenburg Range (former name: Hindenburg Mountains) is a mountain range in Papua New Guinea . It was named after Paul von Hindenburg during the German colonial era .
The mountain range is located in the remote North Fly District of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, which extends east from the Star Mountains .
