The Hineno ( Japanese 日 根 野 氏 , Hineno-shi ) were a family of the Japanese sword nobility ( Buke ) , who came from the province of Mino and played a role until the beginning of the Edo period .

genealogy

  • Hironari ( 弘 就 ; † 1602) was a vassal of the Saitō and served under Yoshiatsu and Tatsuoki. When the latter was destroyed by Oda Nobunaga , he shaved his head and called himself Jibukyō-hōin.
  • Takayoshi ( 高 吉 ; 1539–1600), a son of Hironari, took part in the campaign against the Hōjō in Odawara and received the Takashima Castle in Shinano Province with an income of 28,000 Koku as a reward .
  • Yoshiaki ( 吉明 ; 1587–1656), a son of Takayoshis, was transferred to Mibu ( 壬 生 ) in Shimotsuke Province in 1601 and then in 1634 with 20,000 Koku to Funai (now part of Ōita ) in Bungo Province . He died with no offspring, his property reverted to the shogunate .
