Hinrich Kröpelin (* in Lübeck ; † 1414) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

The merchant Hinrich Kröpelin was the son of the Lübeck citizen and elderly man of the Schonenfahrer Nikolaus Kröpelin († 1380). During the civil unrest at the beginning of the 15th century, he can be traced back to Lübeck as councilor in the New Council for the period from 1410 to 1414 . He was Lord of the Wedde from 1411 to 1413 . His brother Nikolaus Kröpelin , who died in 1413, was a councilor in the Old Council until 1408 , but stayed in the city when the power changed to the New Council. He lived in the house at Koenigstrasse 37 . In Lübeck citizens' wills he is listed several times as a documentary witness and guardian .
