Occipital lymph nodes
The occipital lymph nodes ( Nodi lymphoidei [Nll.] Occipitales ) are a group of two to three lymph nodes on the back of the head, above the insertion of the semispinalis capitis muscle . The catchment area (tributary area) are the occiput and the neck . The lymph drainage goes to the deep cervical lymph nodes .
