Keiichirō Hirano

Keiichirō Hirano ( Japanese 平野 啓 一郎 , Hirano Keiichirō ; born June 22, 1975 in Gamagōri ) is a Japanese writer.

Hirano made his debut as a student in 1998 with the novel Nisshoku , for which he received the Akutagawa Prize the following year . Immediately after completing his studies, his second novel Ichigetsu monogatari was published in 1999 . In his novel Sōsō (2002) Hirano wrote about Frédéric Chopin , George Sand and Eugène Delacroix . A first collection of short stories appeared in 2003 under the title Shimizu , another under the title Shitariochiru tokeitachi no hamon followed in 2004. For Dōn he received the 2009 Bunkamura Prix des Deux Magots .
