Hiro Mizushima ( Japanese 水 嶋 ヒ ロ , Mizushima Hiro , real name: 齋藤 智 裕 , Saitō Tomohiro; born April 13, 1984 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese actor, author and model.

He has appeared in a number of Japanese television dramas, including Mei-chan no Shitsuji , Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, and Zettai Kareshi . He is also well known as a protagonist in the action series Kamen Rider Kabuto .

Life

Hiro Mizushima lived in Switzerland between the ages of 6 and 12. He has an older sister. He holds an Integrated Policy major from Keio University .

Mizushima first appeared on Japanese television in 2005, where he played Hiro Misawa, a supporting character in the second season of Gokusen. In the same year he was found in guest roles like in the drama "Ame no Ato Ni" and in smaller roles like in the TBS drama "Brother Beat".

In 2006 Mizushima became one of the main characters in the series "Kamen Rider Kabuto" and acted in the lead role in the film "Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed ​​Love". In the same year he also appeared in two other films.

Starting in 2007, Mizushima began to take on larger roles in higher-profile productions, such as the role of heartthrob Minami Nanba in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e and the leading role of Soshi Asamoto in "Zettai Kareshi". Both dramas were among the most popular dramas in Japan at the time they aired. Mizushima also took on the Japanese voice of Bruce Banner in "The Incredible Hulk".

In September 2010, Mizushima left his talent agency, Ken-On, to start his own independent agency called Station. A few weeks later, on October 31, 2010, it was announced that Mizushima had won the 5th Poplar Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction and a cash prize of 20 million yen for his debut work entitled "Kagerou", which he wrote under the pseudonym Satoshi Saitō ( 齋藤 智 , Saitō Satoshi), won. However, Mizushima announced that he was rejecting the prize money. On February 22, 2009, he married the Japanese pop singer Ayaka .
