Hisashi Nozawa

Hisashi Nozawa ( Japanese 野 沢 尚 , Nozawa Hisashi ; born May 7, 1960 in Nagoya , † June 28, 2004 in Tokyo ) was a Japanese writer and screenwriter.

Nozawa began making 8mm films while he was still in school and won the Kido Prize in 1983 after completing his film studies. In 1985 he made his debut as a screenwriter for the television series Koroshite, Anasha . More screenplays for television and film followed; so he wrote the book for Takeshi Kitano's debut film Sono otoko, kyōbō ni tsuki .

As a novelist, Nozawa received the Edogawa Rampo Prize for Rabbits no marisu in 1997 . He was awarded the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for Young Authors in 2001 for the novel Shinku , which was made into a film in 2005. For the novel Hanran no boyaju he was awarded the Japanese Ministry of Culture the following year.
