Hlöðuvík is a bay in the West Fjords in northwestern Iceland .
This bay is located in the Hornstrandir area between the mountains Hælavíkurbjarg in the east and Kjalárnúpur in the west. It is almost 6 kilometers wide and extends a good 3.5 kilometers into the country. It is divided into the bays Hælavík in the east and Hlöðuvík and Kjaransvík in the west. Together they are called Víkurnar. There are no permanently inhabited houses in the bay and it cannot be reached via slopes or even roads.
