Holy Trinity in Wideregg

Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic chapel in Wideregg in Upper Swabia , a district of Kammlach . Ecclesiastically, the hamlet belonged to the parish of St. Stephan in Mindelheim until 1923 . The pastors came from Oberkammlach since the 17th century . The chapel probably dates from the 19th century and was extensively restored from 1948 to 1949.

The low, flat-roofed building has a semicircular end. There are two small rectangular windows on each side. At the west end of the south side there is a rectangular door. The outside of the chapel has a strong, double cantilevered eaves cornice. There is a new wooden belfry on the ridge.

The wooden, marbled altar dates from the end of the 18th century. The strip is sarcophagus-shaped , the structure is two-pillar with a cranked cornice. The altar has no extract . The rectangular altarpiece is more recent and shows the Trinity in a rectangular field with a classicistic, scaled frame . The wooden figures of the chapel are taken . Around 1500 crude folk relief statuettes of Mary and John the Evangelist were created. The lecture cross with a small body dates from around 1800. A small Mater Dolorosa comes from the second half of the 18th century . A Saint Sebastian dates from the 17th or 18th century, an Arma-Christi cross from the 19th century.
