The hobex AG (hobex AG payment systems) is an Austrian full-service provider of cashless payment transactions. It offers solutions in the area of credit and debit card payments via payment terminals. history
Hobex AG was founded in 1991 as a subsidiary of hogast (purchasing cooperative for the hotel and hospitality industry). The company currently has 85 employees who serve a total of 21,000 customers with over 30,000 terminals and 1,500 ecommerce solutions in the tourism, retail and service sectors. In addition to the core market of Austria, hobex AG is also represented in Germany, Italy and Slovenia.
According to the company, around 18.5 million transactions with a total turnover of 3.9 billion euros were processed in 2016. Tourism is seen as the sales market with the highest turnover.
Ownership structure
The shares are distributed among the Raiffeisen banking group (82%), Bank Austria (8%) and the Hogast purchasing cooperative (10%).

Hobex offers payment terminals, mobile terminals, mPOS SMART (via smartphone and APP) and machine modules.
