Hobotalk

Hobotalk is a Scottish folk - rock band around singer-songwriter Marc Pilley .

Band history

Pilley, who started out as a drummer, began writing his own songs in 1989. Together with guitarist Ross Edmond, bassist Al Denholm and drummer Ian Bruce, he founded Hobotalk in the late 1990s. In 1999 Hobotalk released their debut EP Pictures of Romance on Hut Records . After release, the group played as the opening act for Gomez in Scotland. The debut album Beauty in Madness was released in 2000. In 2002 the band split from Hut Records. It was not until 2005 that the second album Notes on Sunset was released on Circular Records in the UK and Glitterhouse Records in Europe.

The album Homesick for Nowhere was released in 2007 and Alone Again Or in 2008 .
