Portrait photography
The elevated photography , is a type of aerial photography , the recording device is not in the on or in an aircraft is located. For this purpose, the camera can be attached to a telescopic mast ( pole aerial photography ) or positioned on high structures such as the viewing platforms of television towers .
Other methods are
- Up and down a camera with a tethered balloon ,
- Lowering by means of a line from a high structure, e.g. B. a bridge.
- Free fall, parabola - the landing dampening is tricky, water tightness when thrown into the water
- Throwing from a structure
- Throwing up from the ground
- Filming while riding a cable car.
- Use of ropes:
- The camera moves along an existing rope
- The camera drives a pair of suspension cables with an endless pull cable, CAMCAT, for example, at ski races
- The camera hangs on 3 or 4 ropes that run to the mast heads with winches. Around a football stadium all around.
For a long time, radio links in both directions have been used for aiming, zooming, transmitting control signals and transmitting images. Easier methods that were used earlier were self-timer clockwork on the camera, continuous shooting while rotating the mast.
