Hochoetz is an Austrian ski area in Tyrol , which is located on the eastern slope of the Ötztaler Taltroge. It is located south of the pass road that runs from the valley floor of the Ötztal up to the Kühtaisattel and extends to the north-facing mountain foot of the Acherkogel .

Access to the Hochoetz ski area is possible via the transfer of two gondolas: On the one hand, the 8-seater gondola lift Acherkogelbahn leads from Oetz from the valley station at 814 meters up to this ski area; -Gondola Ochsengartenbahn to get to the ski area. This access variant requires a serpentine approach from the valley floor of the Ötztal at around 800 meters to the valley station of the Ochsengartenbahn at around 1500 meters, but then offers the possibility of accessing the valley station of this gondola via a valley run. A descent to the valley station of the Acherkogelbahn, however, is not possible. The ski area is very family-friendly and can be covered with 100% snow with the most modern snow cannons.
