The University of Economics and Engineering of the Canton of Vaud (abbr .: HEIG-VD for French officially: Haute École d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud; sometimes University of Technology and Economics Vaud; English: School of Engineering and Management Vaud or School of Business and Engineering) was created in August 2004 through the merger of the University of Engineering of the Canton of Vaud (EIVD) and the University of Economics of the Canton of Vaud (HEG-VD). With 2000 students, HEIG-VD is the largest sub- university of the French- speaking Swiss University of Applied Sciences and Arts . The university is involved regionally, nationally and internationally in teaching, further education and research.

Since autumn 2006 the university has three campuses in Yverdon-les-Bains : Campus Route de Cheseaux ; Campus Center St-Roch , and Campus Center Y-Parc .
