The music selection is determined by the music editor. The aim is to also give new bands and smaller music labels a forum. Starting at 8 p.m., the (unmoderated) program will concentrate on one type of music for four hours - pop on Mondays, hip-hop on Tuesdays, rock on Wednesdays, funk on Thursdays, soul & Latin and electronic music on Fridays. At the weekend there are sometimes special programs, as well as the jazz bar on Sunday mornings. On Monday evening, sending university radio Dusseldorf from 19 to 20 pm, the local edition of the campus charts . In this broadcast, the current campus charts of the NRW campus radio and the new presentations are played. During the week, the next campus charts will be chosen on the internet.

Since hochschulradio düsseldorf broadcasts a 24-hour program, a music program is played automatically for the rest of the broadcast time. Although rotation is used here, it is much less dominant than with other broadcasters - both private and public. As a result, the music program is more varied, but it also loses its recognizability. Therefore station IDs are sent from time to time.
