University association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A university association refers to the amalgamation of colleges or universities . The reasons for this vary from regional cooperation to an interdisciplinary association on a subject area in order to promote research and training.

Some state university laws make statements about university associations. For example in the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate

“For several universities or university locations, especially in a region, university associations can be set up in agreement with the relevant ministry to perform their tasks jointly in certain areas. The more detailed design, especially with regard to the tasks, management, structure and committees, is regulated in a cooperation agreement. "

- § 10 HochSchG Rhineland-Palatinate
