The Wedding Palace (also called the Ritual Palace ) in Tbilisi , Georgia is a former wedding venue during the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic . It was built from 1984 to 1985 according to plans by the architect Viktor Dschorbenadze with Vascha Orbeladze . It is located on a hill southeast of the old town on the left bank of the Kura . Due to its expressive design, the building is considered one of the most important structures in Soviet postmodern architecture.

The building was privatized in 2002 and was the private residence of Georgian entrepreneur Badri Patarkatsishvili until his death in 2008 . The building has been rented to a private event company since 2013 and has since been rented for private events.
