history

In 1996, a group of twelve to thirteen-year-old youths formed a game community who enjoyed the sport of inline hockey. The team initially called themselves “Lions”, later they changed their name to “Hotdogs Bräunlingen”, which is still valid today. They played on the paved courtyards of local companies and took part in tournaments.

At the beginning of 1998, the then young people realized that they should be part of an umbrella organization and joined the local gymnastics and sports club, ski club department. When the club was awarded an inline hockey field by the community in 2000, it experienced an influx of young people and adults who wanted to join the club. The inline hockey players remained within TuS-Bräunlingen until the end of 2001. The inline hockey faction has been a registered association since May 2002.

Good placements and victories followed and a junior team formed, the Barracudas : They took part in the German U18 championships in Goch in 2000 (7th place) and in 2001 when they unexpectedly took 2nd place. The newly built inline hockey field enables regulated and professional training and regular game operations, which contributed to the club's growth in terms of personnel and performance. Inline hockey is now one of the most successful team sports in Bräunlingen. At the beginning of 2004, the club joined the ISHD sports association and began its first professional season in the Regionalliga Süd-West A Germany. The Hotdogs won all round games as well as promotion games and were promoted to the second division undefeated and in 2006 to the first division.
