Holendrechtstraat 1-47
The house Amstelkade 3-5, 1-47 Holendrechtstraat, Uithoornstraat 6 is located in the district Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam district Zuid . It was built between 1921 and 1923 in the course of the expansion of the city, Plan Zuid , which began in 1917 . The facade and the garden in the inner courtyard were designed by the Dutch architect Margaret Staal-Kropholler (1891–1966) in the style of the expressionist Amsterdam School . Until the 1970s, several shops were housed on the ground floor, which were converted into apartments. The five-storey, with brown brick and red tiles clad complex of reinforced concrete is as an urban Monument ( Gemeentelijk monument ) under conservation .
