The Qafa e Valbonës ( German Valbona Pass ) is a mountain pass ( 1795 m above sea level ) in northern Albania . It connects the valleys of the Shala and the Valbona .
A mountain path leads over the pass from Theth to Valbona , which is becoming increasingly popular with hikers . In summer, hikers can find simple food stalls along the way. The route is part of the Peaks of the Balkans long-distance hiking trail .
The Theth National Park and the Valbonatal National Park meet at the pass .
The village of Rragam on the eastern rise was settled by people from Theth in the 1940s.
