Holger Kirschke

Holger Kirschke (born November 15, 1947 - † July 4, 2019 in Wetzlar ) was a German swimmer and Olympic participant. He started for TV Wetzlar . Kirschke was 1.77 m tall and weighed 82 kg during his active time.

He ran the swimming club 74 Wetzlar.

Kirschke won four German championships:

  • 1965 over 400 m freestyle, 1500 m freestyle and 400 m medley
  • 1966 over 400 m freestyle

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he started the 1500 m freestyle, but failed with 18: 01.6 minutes in the run-up.
