Holger Schmidt (* 1959 in Jena ) is full professor for urban redevelopment and urban renewal at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

Life

Holger Schmidt studied urban planning at the University of Weimar , where he also received his doctorate in 1989 . This was followed by work in the Thuringian office for town and village planning in Erfurt, freelance work for the Dessau project company and work as head of the academy and research assistant in the workshop area of ​​the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation. Since November 2009 Schmidt has been a full professor for urban redevelopment and urban renewal at the TU Kaiserslautern.

Yearbook urban renewal

Since 1994 Holger Schmidt has published numerous articles in the Urban Renewal Yearbook . Between 2014 and 2016 he was a member of the scientific advisory board. He has been co-editor since 2016.
