Holmen Hockey , also known as Holmen Red Eagles , is a Norwegian ice hockey club from Asker, founded in 1934 . The men's team plays in the third-class 2nd division and plays its home games at Holmen Ishall .
history
The association was founded in 1934. For the 1934/35 season , the team began playing in the Hovedserien , which was then the highest Norwegian league. In the 1939/40 season , the team reached the semifinals of the Norwegian championship, which was held in cup form at that time . After the end of the Second World War , the game was continued in the highest Norwegian ice hockey division in the 1st division , in which Holmen played from 1946 to 1948. Since then, the team has only played lower class, most recently in the 2011/12 season in the third-class 2nd division.
