Homeros from Byzantion

Homeros of Byzantium was an ancient Greek grammarian and poet from Byzantium . His main creative period was during the 124th Olympiad (284/280 BC) at the court of Ptolemy II. He was the son of Andromachos and the poet Moiro . He was also nicknamed neos / neoteros ("the boy"). He was one of seven members of the tragic Pleiad and the rival of Sositheus . Homeros wrote 45 or 57 tragedies and an epic ; none of his works has survived.
