Tragic Pleiad

The Pleias (Πλειάς) or tragic Pleiade is a list of Greek tragedians of antiquity (seven poets corresponding to the seven brightest stars of the Pleiades star cluster ). The list was drawn up by two directors of the Alexandria Library , Aristophanes of Byzantium and Aristarchus of Samothrace , in the 3rd century BC. Compiled. The intention was to bring to the fore a group of tragedy poets who stood out for their linguistic quality.
