Homestuck is a webcomic that was created by the American Andrew Hussie from 2009 to 2016. It is one of four independent major works that he publishes on his webcomic site MS Paint Adventures (MSPA). The constantly updated work comprised more than 7,500 pages with individual images and 768,000 words until 2015, making it one of the most extensive works of the genre published worldwide.

In America, the plant has a large fan base. B. has created a wiki about the project in which you can keep track of the meanwhile 128 characters. Some German fans offer a partial translation and further information. There is also a French translation maintained by fans.

The pictures of the comic are kept very simple, in the style of a simple MS Paint drawing, which the title of the homepage alludes to. The images often contain game elements from adventure games, such as an inventory function or small flash animations.

history

The main actors are John Egbert, 13 years old at the beginning of the story, and his friends Rose Lalonde, Dave Strider and Jade Harley. John Egbert receives the computer game Sburb , which makes it possible to intervene in reality, and begins to play it with his friends. This game is part of the reproductive cycle of the universe, so players and their entire reality are drawn into the game for it.
