Marçay is a French municipality with 519 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Chinon and the Canton of Chinon . The inhabitants are called Marcéens .

geography

Marçay is about eight kilometers south of Chinon . Marçay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Roche-Clermault in the north, Ligré in the east and northeast, Assay in the east and southeast, Ceaux-en-Loudun in the south and southeast, Sammarçolles in the south and southwest, Beuxes in the west and Seuilly in the northwest.
