La Chapelle-sur-Loire is a French commune with 1,433 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Chinon and the canton of Langeais (until 2015: canton of Bourgueil ).

La Chapelle-sur-Loire is located about 39 kilometers west-southwest of Tours on the Loire , into which the Indre flows in the southwest of the municipality. La Chapelle-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourgueil and Restigné in the north, Côteaux-sur-Loire in the east and northeast, Rigny-Ussé in the east and southeast, Huismes and Avoine in the south and Chouzé-sur-Loire in the west.

The place has a train station on the Tours – Saint-Nazaire railway line .
