Pernay is a French commune with 1,349 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Chinon and the canton of Château-Renault (until 2015: canton of Neuillé-Pont-Pierre ). The inhabitants are called Pernaisiens .

geography

Pernay is about 15 kilometers west-northwest of Tours . Pernay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sonzay in the north and northwest, Semblançay in the northeast, Saint-Roch in the east, Luynes in the south and east and Ambillou in the west.
