Ambillou is about 19 kilometers west-northwest of Tours . The river Lathan has its source in the municipality . Ambillou is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sonzay in the north, Pernay in the east, Luynes in the southeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Chigny in the south and southeast, Mazières-de-Touraine in the south, Cléré-les-Pins in the west and Souvigné in the northwest.
