Robert Finlay, 1st Viscount Finlay

Viscount Finlay , of Nairn in the County of Nairn , was a hereditary nobility title of the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award and subordinate titles

The title was created on March 27, 1919 for the lawyer and politician Robert Finlay, 1st Baron Finlay . On the occasion of his appointment as Lord Chancellor , he had already been raised to Baron Finlay , of Nairn in the County of Nairn on December 19, 1916, also in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Both titles expired on the death of his son, the 2nd Viscount, on June 30, 1945.
