Rilly-sur-Vienne is a municipality with 489 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the French department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the canton of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine (until 2015: canton of L'Île-Bouchard ) in the arrondissement of Chinon . The inhabitants are called Rillois .

Rilly-sur-Vienne is about 38 kilometers south-southwest of Tours . Rilly-sur-Vienne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Parçay-sur-Vienne in the north and northwest, Pouzay in the northeast, Marcilly-sur-Vienne in the east, Luzé in the south and southwest, Verneuil-le-Château in the west and Chezelles in the west and Northwest.

Despite the name, the community is not located directly on the Vienne .
