Homewrecker is a 2005 broadcast reality show on MTV that of Ryan Dunn was moderated.
The main theme of the show is revenge for bad pranks among friends. The show is almost an alternative to home improvement programs, which are about beautifying homes. Homewrecker (roughly translated as "home destroyer" or "home tear-off") is about taking revenge on friends by disfiguring their apartment.
Sequence of events
To this end, candidates who have been played a prank by friends report to MTV. Similar to the program Pimp My Ride , Ryan Dunn visits the candidates and develops a prank concept, according to which he remodels the apartment (or the room) of the "victim". So the room z. B. to the chicken coop, the filthy public toilet or the car junkyard. Before Dunn prepares the rooms, however, he "observes" the owners. In this phase, the program resembles a spy film parody, for example when Dunn climbs on lampposts or hides in the bushes. Ultimately, the victim is then shown his room, in the presence of Ryan Dunn and the "friend", in order to hear his usually shocked reaction.
In addition, there are three simple pranks in each show to imitate at home (while at the beginning of the actual show, as usual, imitating the rough “main pranks” is not recommended). For example, the Flour-Shower (flour shower) is prepared in which a roof hatch so that upon opening of the same flour over the below it pours, or a coating in which the content of the deodorant roller is secretly changed to fresh cheese. These pranks are designed as an anachronistic training film, including "film projector strips" in the opening credits. Dunn then always demonstrates the effect of such pranks on himself, but again jokingly threatens anyone who tries to trick him.
