Ryan Matthew Dunn (born June 11, 1977 in Medina , Ohio , † June 20, 2011 in West Goshen , Pennsylvania ) was an American actor and stuntman who, among other things, worked on the reality TV series Jackass and Viva La Bam became known.

Life

Dunn moved with his parents from Ohio to West Chester , Pennsylvania, where he last lived , at the age of seven .

He gained fame mainly through various appearances in videos of the film series CKY , and later as one of the leading actors in the MTV series Jackass and Viva La Bam . In 2002 Dunn was seen for the first time as part of the movie production Jackass: The Movie .

In 2003, Dunn starred in Bam Margera's film Haggard , which was based on a failed love story by Dunn.

Ryan Dunn started his own MTV show Homewrecker in October 2005 . In 2006, Jackass: Number Two , another film with Dunn, was shown in the cinema, followed by Jackass 3D in 2010 .

With Proving Ground , another show ran on US television from June 2011, hosted by Dunn.

Accidental death

Dunn died on June 20, 2011 in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania, in a car accident when he got off the road at the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 and hit a tree. His co-driver, fellow actor and stuntman Zachary Hartwell, also died. According to the findings of the autopsy, Dunn was heavily drunk at the time of the accident and had a blood alcohol level of around 1.96 per mille . According to the police report, the speed of the vehicle at the time of the accident was 225 km / h (140 mph ), with a maximum permitted 89 km / h (55 mph).
