The Hong Kong Badminton Association ( HKBA for short , 香港 羽毛球 總會 in Chinese ) is the top national administrative organization in the sport of badminton in Hong Kong .
history
The Hong Kong Badminton Association was founded in 1934 and became a member of the IBF in March 1950 . In 1959 the association became a founding member of the continental umbrella organization Badminton Asia Confederation , at that time still operating under the name Asian Badminton Confederation . National championships have been held since the 1936/1937 season. The association's headquarters are located at Olympic House on 1 Stadium Path in So Kon Po in Causeway Bay . The association is a member of the National Olympic Committee.
