Honghu

The city of Honghu ( Chinese 洪湖 市 , Pinyin Hónghú Shì ) is an independent city in the Chinese province of Hubei , which belongs to the administrative area of the independent city of Jingzhou . It has an area of 2,519 km² and has 920,000 inhabitants.
The former sites of the revolutionary base area of Hunan-West-Hubei (Xiang E xi geming genjudi jiuzhi 湘鄂 西 革命 根据地 旧址) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-30) since 1988 .
