Hoppelpoppel (drink)

Hoppelpoppel is the name for different types of eggnog . The basic ingredients are egg yolk, crushed rock sugar or sugar, as well as cream and rum or brandy . The Hoppelpoppel is seasoned with nutmeg , vanilla or lemon peel, and depending on the variant, egg whites or hot water are added.

Hoppelpoppel can be served hot or as a cold drink.
