Horn trio

Horn trio refers to a genre of chamber music with the instrumentation horn , violin and piano . The Horn Trio op. 40 by Johannes Brahms is regarded as her historical masterpiece . Important works of new music for this line-up are the horn trios by György Ligeti (1982) and Friedrich Goldmann (2004).
