The island of Eilean Horrisdale (also Thor's Dale or Thor's Island ; Gaelic : Eilean Thòiriosdal ) is located on the Scottish west coast between Badachro and Gairloch , in Loch Gairloch . The residents have left the island because there is no electricity or running water. Many of the old buildings are still standing. Some are used as vacation homes.
