Gairloch ( Scottish Gaelic : Geàrrloch - pronunciation: [ˈkʲaːrˠl̪ˠɔx], meaning: "Short Hole") is a place on the north-west coast of Scotland . The place on the banks of Loch Gairloch is a popular summer tourist destination. In addition to swimming and hiking, it also offers a golf course and a small museum. Numerous small lakes in the area are popular targets for trout fishermen. Horrisdale Island lies off Gairloch's coast . Gairloch can be reached via the A832 .

In Gairloch is the radio station Two Lochs Radio (Scottish Gaelic: Rèidio dà Locha), one of the smallest broadcasters in Scotland. It is run by the community and broadcasts primarily local news, in both English and Gaelic.
