Caithness, Sutherland and Ross is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced as one of eight constituencies in the Highlands and Islands electoral region when the constituencies were revised in 2011 . Caithness, Sutherland and Ross, which includes the northern regions of the Council Area Highland , was created from parts of the former constituencies of Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross and Ross, Skye and Inverness West . The constituency includes the traditional counties of Caithness and Sutherland and parts of the administrative county of Ross and Cromarty with the towns of Wick , Thurso and Kyle of Lochalsh and sends one MP.
The constituency covers an area of 12,434 km 2 . This makes it the largest constituency for the Scottish Parliament. In the 2011 census survey, a total of 71,882 people lived within its borders.
