Inverness East, Nairn and Lochaber was a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of eight constituencies in the Highlands and Islands electoral region , which was redesigned as part of the constituency revision in 2011. The constituency of Inverness East, Nairn and Lochaber was dissolved. It comprised central areas of the Highland Council Area with the cities of Fort William , Inverness and Nairn . At the 2001 census survey, a total of 85,125 people lived within its borders. The territories have been incorporated into the new constituencies of Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch and Inverness and Nairn . A deputy was sent.
