Moray is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of eight constituencies in the Highlands and Islands electoral region , which was redesigned as part of the constituency revision in 2011. The borders of the constituency of Moray were redrawn. It includes most of the Council Area Moray , but not a small part in the northeast with the town of Buckie , which belongs to the constituency of Banffshire and Buchan Coast of the neighboring electoral region of North East Scotland . A representative is sent.
The constituency covers an area of 2029.8 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 78,539 people lived within its borders.
