Horst Raule (born October 8, 1936 ) founded Raule Autovermietung GmbH in Mannheim in 1955 . In the sixties and seventies, the company developed into one of the largest providers of rental cars on the German market.

Above all, the franchise system, in which small, local car rental companies under the umbrella of CC Autovermietung GmbH were able to take advantage of purchasing and marketing advantages, became the engine of growth: in 1997 the company achieved a total turnover of around 450 million with 533 license partners and 25,000 rental vehicles . Euro.

In 1998 Horst Raule sold his company and became involved in real estate and monument protection. In 2000, the City of Leipzig awarded him the Hieronymus Lotter Prize for Monument Preservation for his commitment. In his adopted home of Wiesbaden, Raule saved, among other things, the Wiesbaden Solmsschlösschen from 1890 from deterioration and restored the building according to historical plans and photos.

Since then, the building has served as the headquarters of the Kleine Füchse Foundation , which he founded in 2003 and which Horst Raule is actively promoting as CEO. The trigger for the educational initiative was the alarming results of Germany's PISA study at the time, which Raule wanted to meet at pre-school age by promoting special talents.
