Hosororo is a municipality in Guyana in the province of Barima-Waini . It is located on the west bank of the Aruka River, at the confluence of the Hosororo Creek in the Aruka, about ten kilometers from the river mouth and about five kilometers from the capital of the region, Mabaruma . The place has a health center. It is also known for its fertile soils and is one of the oldest settlements with manioc cultivation, which can be dated back to around 3850 years. Today organic cocoa is produced in the community .
