Hostess Brands, Inc. - formerly Interstate Bakeries Corporation (IBC) - was the largest bakery company and retailer of baked goods in the United States, and owned the Hostess ( Twinkie ), Wonder Bread, Nature's Pride, Dolly Madison, Butternut Bread, and Drake's brands .

At the beginning of 2012 the company went bankrupt for the second time. Since no buyer was found and the union did not accept any further salary cuts for the employees, but announced an unlimited strike in this case, the management decided in November 2012 to end the company. Around 18,000 employees lost their jobs as a result.
